A thyroid nodule question:?
I have had a thyroid nodule on my neck for more than 5 years and recently it has felt slightly sore on certain occasions. I don't have any health insurance so I can't really afford the fine needle biopsy right now. Does the soreness mean anything and What should I do?
Answers:
You may want to check in your area for free health clinics or even sliding scale clinics or drs offices(call around many do offer sliding scale but don't publicly announce it). I would get it check soon as thyroid cancer is on the rise with excessive computer use especially. Good luck.
possess as much information as you could maybe is one of the options, however it is quite time consuming, here

You need to go to the doctors. I know the biopsy is expensive...I had 3 of them. but your health is far more valuable. If it is sore there is a possibility that it is cancer, I don't mean to scare you but there is a chance. Luckily however, Thyroid cancer has an excellent survival rate. It is slow to spread. But you still may have to go through surgeries, more biopsies, and Radioactive Iodine Treatment. Get it checked out now. Ignorance is not bliss. Good luck!
