It is normal, after a total thyroidectomy found radioactive tissue in the area?

After the thyroidectomy, I was treated with radioiodine (125mcg) after a week a body scan was performed. The results impression state scintigraphic evidence of functioning thyroid tissue in neck with/without malignant involvement. Is this result normal? Does it means that I will need more treatment? If is so, what kind?
