Although you think resting will be very necessary, doctors will ironically recommend you to undergo some physical activities. Other side effects of radiotherapy are: hoarseness in the voice; red and dry skin especially in the treated area; and difficulty in swallowing.

•    Chemotherapy. The side effects of chemotherapy are true to all cancer patients whether one has thyroid cancer or other types of cancers in the body. The most common complaints heard include vomiting, hair loss, loss of appetite and mouth sores. There are a lot of medicines which may help you ease this discomfort.
